Our Experience Makes the Difference

The Electronic Products Standardization Area works since November 1994. Its experience is the result of issuing more than 220 000 certifies, and more than 450 000 different procedures derived from such standardization, which comprises a service area with a successful and reliable career aligned to the NYCEs value, including an absolute impartiality, independence and transparency.

Thanks to these values NYCE has been granted the award ÉTICA Y VALORES EN LA INDUSTRIA for two consecutive years. Nowadays, we are considered as the best body giving services in different industrial sectors, as well as preserve the goods of the society and give support to the national industry making more than 500 Mexican Standards NMX-NYCE into the ambit of electronic. To a large degree, this has been possible thanks your preference, as each time you ask us for a service part of the incomes are applied to the standardization activities.

In the same way, last June 9th, Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación (EMA) granted NYCE the award Reconocimiento al Compromiso con la Acreditación 2009. This is an first time award granted by EMA to those Conformity Assessment Bodies that have demonstrated their enthusiasm and compromise to improve and confirm the activities of accreditation in Mexico, reason for which we are very proud.

Whit these values as a support, we offer the certification that allow you showing the compliance of their products with the mandatory Official Mexican Standards (NOM as in Spanish), so you can import and commercialize them in national territory, as well as the voluntary compliance with the Mexican Standards (NMX) in case you need to participate in biddings or government purchasing.

NOMs of the electronic sector that we certified are subject to the Policies and Procedures for the Conformity Assessment * issued by the Ministry of Economics.

• NOM-001-SCFI- Electronic devices Electronic devices for household use, powered by different sources of electrical energy Safety requirements and methods of testing. • NOM-016-SCFI- Electronic devices Electronic devices for office use, powered by different sources of electrical energy safety requirements and methods of testing. (Aparatos electrónicos Aparatos electrónicos de uso en oficina alimentados por diferentes fuentes de energía eléctrica - Requisitos de seguridad y métodos de prueba).
• NOM-019-SCFI- Safety on electronic data processing units. (Seguridad de equipo de procesamiento de datos).
